The Oak Tree Gang, several pro golfers that call Oak Tree National home, have not fared well through three rounds of golf at the 2014 US Senior Open.
Scott Verplank made his Champions Tour début the week of his 50th birthday and missed the cut after two rounds of play.
Dr. Gil Morgan leads the group of Oklahomans after the third round of play.
Doc played his second best round of the tournament, shooting a 73, he’s eight over par after three rounds and tied for 41st.
Dr. Gil will tee off at 8:10 a.m. on Sunday, July 13.
Bob Tway had his worst round after three days.
The Oak Tree member is tied for 44th at nine over par after shooting a 75 on Saturday, July 12.
Tway begins his last round at 8:50 a.m.
Willie Wood rounds up the group, he also shot his worst round of the tournament, a 76.
Wood is 11 strokes over par and tied for 53rd.
Wood tee’s off at 8:10 a.m.
