The US Senior Open homecoming for Scott Verplank appears to have come and passed.

Verplank shot a +4, 75 in his second round, the exact same score as his first round.

Verplank’s 2 day total at Oak Tree National: +8, 150.

The very early projected cut line heading into the weekend is +7, which means Verplank would miss the cut, ending his first ever Champions Tour event.

The Oak Tree native said he’s hit the ball in places “I haven’t in 25 years.”

Verplank’s been bothered by a nagging wrist injury which he had surgery on a few years back.
