The KFOR Homeland Scholar Athlete or Sports Team of the Week program will recognize athletes and sports teams, little league teams, soccer teams, softball teams, baseball teams, or whatever sport, from schools in the Oklahoma City Designated Market Area who demonstrate leadership, dedication and perseverance in school and in the community. KFOR will accept nominations by coaches, athletic directors, teachers, sports fans, players, and family members. School Scholar Athletes or Sports Teams submitted for consideration for the KFOR Homeland Scholar Athlete or Sports Team of the Week will be reviewed by a panel of judges and each week an Athlete or a Sports Team will be selected to be revealed in a KFOR newscast.
