On September 21, 2018 Heavy Rains Drenched Oklahoma turning Turner Falls into what looked like Niagra Falls. Roads turned into rivers and first responders had to rescue drivers in their car stuck in rising water. The heavy rains produced 14 inches of rain in parts of Pontatoc County and nearly a foot of rain near Turner Falls.
