OKLAHOMA CITY – Police have two suspects in custody after a short chase overnight.

Officers said they started following a suspicious vehicle just before midnight near N.W. 16th St. and Penn. Ave.

Crews said they tried to pull over the vehicle after it was swerving but the driver took off reaching speeds of about 70 miles per hour.

Police said the driver tried to turn and lost control, crashing into a wooded area before finally coming to a stop upside-down.

Officials said two people were trapped inside and rescue crews had to cut them out.

Emergency crews took them to the hospital to be checked.

After they are released, they will be arrested for eluding police.
