TINKER AIR FORCE BASE – More than 100 families will welcome home their soldiers Wednesday.

More than 100 Airmen from the 552nd air control win are scheduled to return to Tinker.

These Airmen operate the E3 Sentry AWACS aircraft.

The E3 provides all weather, surveillance and communications information to commanders of U.S. and NATO Air Defense forces.

These Airmen have spent the last six months in southwest Asia supporting troops in Afghanistan.

They are scheduled to touch down at Tinker around 2:30 p.m.
