MOORE, Okla. – Authorities in two Oklahoma cities are looking for an alleged serial robber who they believe has demanded money at several Check ‘N Go locations.
Always with a polite and calm demeanor, the ‘Be Good Bandit’ is accused of robbing several Check ‘N Go locations in Oklahoma City and Moore.
The most recent robbery was on Monday when surveillance footage caught a glimpse of the suspect.
Employees and customers inside the business were caught off guard by his unusually good manners.
Sgt. Jeremy Lewis, with the Moore Police Department, says, “He just walks in just kind of casually told them, ‘You know what to do.’ He really didn’t demand anything from the customers. Just asked how their day was, got the money and left the store.”
When the suspect approached the cash register, the employee knew exactly what to do because authorities believe this was his second time robbing this same location.
Without question, the clerk complied.
In less than a minute, he had all of the money in the cash register and was on his way out the door.
Employees and customers told authorities they knew he meant business when he insinuated he had a weapon in his pocket.
Sgt. Lewis said, “They kind of know what he’s doing when he walks in. He has his face covered. He wears long sleeves, wore gloves.”
Earlier this month, Oklahoma City authorities responded to a similar robbery at Check ‘N Go’s location at N.W. 23rd St. and Pennsylvania Ave.
A customer inside during the robbery did not want to be identified but told the same story.
She says, “He just said, ‘Be good girls, thank you.”
Tuesday, employees inside the business were still shaken up, keeping the doors locked at all times.
They were not allowed to talk on camera but now have a sign on the door saying, “Please knock to be let in.”
